I.
Principal
Function
The Minister of Music is responsible to the church under the direction of the Pastor to direct all music activities of the church. He/She will consult with the Pastor concerning activities, policies, and procedures that relate to his/her areas of responsibilities.
II.
General
Qualifications
The Minister of Music shall:
1. Be a Southern Baptist who gives testimony to a personal experience with Jesus Christ, and exhibits personal and Christian maturity.
2. Be a person who has a special sense of Christian calling and commitment in the area of music ministry.
3. Be formally educated in the area of music or have commensurate experience in leading music and directing music programs.

Duties and
Responsibilities of the Minister of Music
The Minister of Music shall:
1. Be regular in attendance at all church worship services.
2. Prepare for and lead the music portion of all weekly services (Sunday morning, evening and Wednesday night).
3. Work with the Pastor in preparation of the order of service for worship, providing the selection of hymns for Sunday morning services by 10am each Friday to the church secretary.
4. Be responsible for arranging special music for Sunday morning services by either the choir or other individual or group performers.
5. Be responsible for conducting regular choir practices.
6. Be responsible for the selection, preparation and conducting of special Christmas and Easter choir programs.
7. Oversee children and youth music programs.
8. Make arrangements for coverage of responsibilities in case of illness or vacation.
Salary $ 185.92 Per Week.
Vacation will accrue at 1 week for every 6 months with the church.
Sick time will accrue at 1 day for each quarter.
